Oh…Todd: LL Cool J Slams Jay-Z’s ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’?

Oh…Todd *hangs head*

During an interview with Diddy’s new cable network Revolt legendary rapper LL Cool J stated that he wasn’t impressed by the tactics Jay used to move units.

For me as an artist I still want to be able to touch the people individually. It still matters to me that people individually went out and bought my record.

*Sighs* Ok, first who is still actually going out to the store and actually buying records(as LL called them) with iTunes, and Amazon, etc? I honestly think he is just mad that he didn’t think of it. He didn’t say that when GaGa or Prince used similar tactics to move units, and lets be honest Jay-Z was going to go platinum regardless of the Samsung sales or not. Todd has had a beef with Jay ever since he took over at Def Jam, and LL felt his album didn’t get the push it deserved(not Jay’s fault you didn’t bubble in the streets). Now let me say this, LL is a legend in the game, and should be respected, but at someone point you gotta bow out gracefully and that last offering ‘Authentic’  was everything but that!

How about I’m not impressed with anything that you have put out in the last few years especially that wretched ass country song from your last album. Gon on back to the set at CSI and stop hating sir! Your too old for that.

Maybe if you focused some the of the energy you used registering your opinion, we may get a half way decent album! I’m just sayin!
