Robin Rene Roberts is a television broadcaster. She is the anchor of Good Morning America(GMA). She began her career as a sports anchor in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1983. She joined ESPN as a sportscaster in 1990. She moved to GMA in 1995
In 2007 Roberts was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. She underwent surgery and vigorous cancer treatments, and she survived. Tragedy struck again in 2012 when Roberts was diagnosed with myelodyplastic syndrome(MDS). She took a leave of absence from GMA to receive a bone marrow transplant. She returned to GMA in February 2013.
