Since the MTV Video Music Awards are coming on this evening I figured I’d count down my Top 5 VMA performances from years past. They are in no particular order:

1.Beyonce 2014-Self Titled Medley VMA’s

Let’s face it we all only tuned in for Bey’s concert, and Mrs. Carter didn’t disappoint! All you singing chicks take notes!

2. P Diddy, Usher, Busta Rhymes, and Pharrell-Medley-2002 VMA’s

Say what you want about Diddy, but you will never say that he doesn’t give you a good show! This had me on my feet from beginning to end!

3. Britney Spears-I’m A Slave 4-2001 VMA’s

These pop girls out here today wish they could command the stage like Britney Jean Spears used to! She shut shit down with this performance!

4. Justin Timberlake-Medley(N’Sync Reunion)-2013 VMA’s

JT did a whole damn concert, and I was HERE for the whole entire thing! Honestly I would have just been fine if he was the only performer, if I remember correctly that year’s show was very boring. The cherry on top was the reunion of N’Sync. JC had to let the audience know that JT wasn’t the only singer in N’Sync.

5.Jay-Z & Kanye West-Otis-2011 VMA’s

The “Watch The Throne” era was an exciting time in hip hop! Jay-Z and Kanye West came out and killed the stage at the 2011 VMA’s. If you remember correctly this was the year that Queen Bey revealed she was pregnant!

What are your favorite VMA performances from years past? Who are you looking forward to this year? Hopefully this year’s show is better than last year’s. Make sure you follow @waitwaitwhut on Twitter or LIKE the waitwaitwhut Facebook page for blow by blow commentary! This should be interesting!

Whut say you?
