BJ the Chicago Kid has dropped a new project titled ‘Three’ following up his summer release of ‘4AM’ which featured Eric Bellinger and Lucky Daye.
The Grammy nominated singer/songwriter never disappoints with his projects and this is one is no different. The project has three very solid songs and while all three songs are good, 6 Months is the stand out for me. BJ sings about the the growing pains of a relationship over a stripped down production. The simplicity of the production paired with his rich vocals makes for an amazing song.
In an interview with RatedRnB BJ had following to say about being an independent artist
It feels good to be independent and finally be able to give my fans the music I’ve been making closer to the time it’s been createdRatedRNB
“It’s an empowering feeling because I think as artists often, by the time a project comes out, we have emotionally detached from it.”RatedRNB
Hopefully with this new independent status we’ll get even more material from BJ.
