Life ain’t been no crystal stair for Larry
Johnson. The former NFL star is in trouble again. He allegedly attacked a man in a Miami club according to TMZ:
The police report reads like a scene out of a bad ’80s fight movie — where Johnson allegedly got pissed at another patron at the club inside the Delano Hotel for “taking drinks from his table.”
The alleged victim told police Johnson punched him in the face, sending him to the ground … and then “broke a bottle on the table and began swinging it toward him.”
According to the police report, the victim told cops Johnson then punched him in the face a few more times while he was on the ground.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening
The victim had this to say:
“He wailed on me for a good two minutes before security came over,” the man — who asked to keep his ID private — tells us.
“I couldn’t get back up on my feet – so it wasn’t even a fight. He just wailed on me – and used a tall broken vodka glass that got knocked over when I fell down [to attack me].”
The man continues … “I was able to cover my face – but I’m covered in cuts on the side of my neck, cut the back of my hand, and had to get 7 stitches for the gash on my arm.”
The man says he had NEVER met Johnson before the incident — despite reports to the contrary — and says he has no idea why LJ would attack him in the first place.
Johnson was released on $7,500 bond. I am no psychologist, but it is clear from this alleged attack and Johnson’s storied past, that he is in dire need of help. He hasn’t played in the NFL since 2011 and has been consistently in trouble for the past decade. It’s sad to see someone who had so much promise slowly self destruct. I don’t know what it’s going to take for Johnson to finally seek help, but he clearly is on the path leading to jail. I pray he seeks help.
Whut say you?
No one is safe out here in these streets with smartphones and Instagram Video!
Welp! Braylon Edwards is the next to learn this lesson the hard way. Apparently Edwards has found himself in a tad bit of trouble after allegedly attacking a bystander outside of a club in Michigan. During the altercation Edwards grabbed the man up by his ankles causing him to fall to the ground. Now this probably wouldn’t be so bad if it all wasn’t caught on tape. When Edwards realized he was being tapped, he attempted to have the man filming the incident to delete the footage and grabbed him up by his ankles as well.
Of course the photographer went to the nearest police station and filed a report, but only after filming his account of events. Hopefully Braylon doesn’t face any jail time behind this, but these young celebrities and athletes need to be aware that everyone has camera phones and no one is safe. I am glad that the guys he attacked were not injured this could have been far worst had they been hurt.
DO BETTER Braylon!!!
Former NFL running back, Larry Johnson, has struck a plea deal in his Las Vegas domestic violence case, and won’t serve anytime behind bars for “allegedly” choking his ex-girlfriend at The Bellagio Hotel.
Johnson’s girlfriend claimed he choked her so hard that she lost consciousness. Damn!! When security arrived on the scene Johnson “allegedly” threatened to rip out the security officer’s vocal cords,Yikes!!
Johnson struck a deal with Vegas prosecutors, in which he agreed to plead no contest to misdemeanor domestic battery and assault in exchange for no jail time. Johnson will be on probation for 1 year, will have to do 48 hours of community service, attend six months of counseling, and pay $345 fine. This sounds like a sweet deal to me!
Johnson and Jay-Z used to be BFF’s way back when, maybe Jay can talk some sense into Larry because putting yours hands on females is not a good look bro. Let’s hope LJ can stay outta trouble.
