Monica Announces “Code Red Experience” Tour Featuring Rico Love

Now y’all know I love me some Monica Denise Brown and I am anxiously anticipating the release of her eighth studio album, Code Red. Welp! She just heightened my anticipation with the announcement of tour dates for the new album. Although we’ve only heard one offering from the album, Just Right For Me, Monica’s projects are normally solid. The tour has 22 dates and kicks off in Las Vegas on November 12 and ends in New York on Dec 10.

Monica will be joined by special guest Rico Love, not sure how I feel about that, but it is what it is! I am very interested to hear what this album will sound like. The Lil Wayne assisted Just Right For Me, didn’t catch fire like it wanted it to, but it’s still an awesome song. Code Red doesn’t have a definitive release date, but is expected sometime his year.

[LISTEN]Ratchet Song of the Week: That’s My Best Friend-Tokyo Vanity

As you all know we all need a little bit of ratchet in our lives! The ratchet song of the week is That’s My Best Friend it comes from Vine’s own Tokyo Vanity. When I first saw the 30 second Vine video that spawned the ringtone, I thought to myself this needs to be full song, and what did Tokyo do? She went and did an enitre song. Look at God!

This song provides me with the right amount of ratchetness to meet my weekly ratchet quota. I love this song as simplistic as it may be, it’s just what I need! Take a listen below and get your weekly dose of ratchet. Trust me you’ll thank me later!

Will You Be Attending Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable World Tour?

I Will!

Janet Damita Jo Jackson announced the dates for upcoming Unbreakable World Tour earlier today! I will be in attendance for this tour, I have never seen Janet Jackson live, but I really need Janet to really come through with this show! I need storyline, choreography, scantily clad dancers, pyrotechnics, platforms, flat screens, and good graphics. I need JJ on her A game!

I honestly am not interested in the new material, but there is no way around it. Hopefully there is a good mix of the new album mixed in with old material. We shall see what the set list looks like. I really love the visuals that were released earlier today. Hopefully during this hiatus Janet rested her knees so that she give her all with the choreography, because let’s face it we don’t look to Janet for vocals. *shrug* I’m just being honest I look to Janet for a good show! She is the female originator for a good stage show. These girls could take a few notes from Janet’s previous tours, hell Beyoncé did! If she can, so can these other girls!
