[LISTEN]Tune In Tuesday: #AndSeeThatsTheThing-Dej LoafΒ

Rising star and Detroit native, Dej Loaf, has released a new EP titled #AndSeeThatsTheThing. The EP has five tracks and features from Big Sean & Future.

I am always HERE for my Detroit representers and Dej is no different! She is currently on The Pink Print with Nicki Minaj. I love watching an artist’s progression, and Dej is definitely one to watch!

Tune In Tuesday: Wildheart-Miguel

Miguel’s new album Wildheart dropped today(actually it was available yesterday). The album has 13 songs and guest appearances(Lenny Kravitz/Kurrupt). I liked the first single, Coffee(F*cking) and will most likely like the rest of the album.

Miguel normally puts out consistently good music, but we will see. I am currently listening to the album and you can take a listen below:

Tune In Tuesday: Dreams Worth More Than Money-Meek Mill

So…One half of Omeeka AKA Meek Mill dropped his new album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. The album has 14 songs and is heavy on guest appearances(Nicki, Diddy, etc.) The fact that the album has so many guest appearances speaks volumes to me, to me it says that Meek can’t hold down a entire album solo.

That’s not a diss to Meek, it’s just an observation. There aren’t many rappers that can hold down a whole album solo. I will be the first to say I am not a Meek Mill stan, he has a few songs that I like, but he doesn’t have a project that I could listen to without skipping tracks. We are going to see what this new album is talmabout. I may review it or I may not depending on how I feel after listening.

Tune In Tuesday: Love Life-Tamia

Just when I said I was uninspired by music Tamia came to save the day with the release of her new album titled Love Life. I was already in love with the first two offerings from this album Sandwich And A Soda & Stuck With Me. So it can only get better!

The album has 11 songs with production from Harmony Samuels. I am listening and listening again before I give my opinion, but have no doubt it will be a good review! Tamia is one of my favorite and most underrated singers. Y’all be sleeping on her skills, NOT ME THO!

Now talk amongst yourselves while I get my ENTIRE life from Mrs. Hill

[LISTEN] Tune In Tuesday: Jackie-Ciara

It’s Tune In Tuesday!

Ciara is back with a new release titled Jackie, named after her Mother. I really try to see it for Ciara, and I actually enjoyed her last album, but it was poorly promoted. Set up was all wrong! She’s on that list with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams where album set up is concerned. They all always seem to be late to the party i.e long gaps between singles and video releases, but I am going to be optimistic, hopefully she get it right this time around. I have been known to give Ciara a hard time, but it’s because I see her doing more!

The album features 16 tracks and guest appearance from Missy Elliott, Pit Bull, and T.I. Let’s hope this go around that CiCi gets it right! I honestly miss the Ciara below:

Oh…the way we were! I am currently listening to the album, we shall see what the final verdict is….Where is Jazzy Pha when you need him?

Tune In Tuesday: Genuine Article-Black Rob

Former Bad Boy, Black Rob, is back with new music. BR’s has been in trouble with the law in recent years, so it’s amazing that he found time to work on new material. I guess he subscribes to that Bend Don’t Break mentality.

Mr Whoa’s new album is titled, Genuine Article, and has 12 songs. I remember BR being a wordsmith so hopefully this offering is no different. You make that determination:

Now my favorite BR song features The Lox, this was back when Bad Boy Records was running shit back in the 90’s. Take a listen below:

Tune In Tuesday: Miss Ester Dean

Chances are you have heard something written by Ester Dean if you listen to current music, but now Ester Dean brings us her own solo EP, titled Miss Ester Dean. The EP has 6 tracks and the cover art is very interesting to say the least. Ester has proven she is an awesome writer, but will that translate to solo success? You be the judge take a listen below:

My favorite Ester Dean song features Chris Brown and incites an instant twerk! Listen below:

Tune In Tuesday: Crown-The Dream

Y’all know what today is! It’s Tune In Tuesday! The Dream dropped an EP/album today. The EP is has 6 tracks and features an appearance from T.I.

I can always count on Terrius for a tweak tune or something that is hip roll worthy. We are going to see if this release is the same! I enjoyed the first single, That’s My Shit, which features T.I. we will see what the rest of the album is talmabout!

Also check out The Dream’s “Exclusive” Tidal playlist and see what he s listening to.

Will you be copping this new EP? Whut say you?

New Album Release: To Pimp A Butterfly-Kendrick Lamar

IMG_1171

This didn’t got up on Tuesday it actually went up on Sunday, and I am HERE for it!

On the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s Me Against The World(March 14,1995) Kendrick Lamar dropped his new album, To Pimp A Butterfly, in advance of the previously announced release date. What a surprise! The album has 16 tracks Β and features Ron Isley, Snoop Dogg, Bilal, and James Fauntleroy.

I have not had a chance to get deep into the album, except for the first two songs that were released. But once I give it a thorough listen I will give my review. I know what You are saying, what happened to the review of several other albums that came out prior to this? Welp! Life happened but bear with me I will get caught up. Will you be coping K. Dot’s new album?
